Anna Kato

CEO

Curator and exhibition director. Active since 2010. Former assistant for the Curatorial Course at Tokyo University of the Arts (Graduate School of Global Arts). ABD in Cultural Studies. Representative of MoS Art LLC.

Worked as a curatorial assistant for international exhibitions including the 7th Moscow Biennale (2017, Russia) and Sharjapan: Poetry of Space (2019, UAE).

After becoming independent in 2020, has curated and directed urban art festivals such as Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa (from 2022, hosted by Odakyu Electric Railway) and DIG SHIBUYA (2023, co-hosted with Shibuya City).

Shin Sumimoto

Co-Founder

Curator and producer. Holds an MA in Curatorial Studies from Tokyo University of the Arts (Graduate School of Global Arts). After working at an art-focused startup, currently works at a global consulting firm, leading cultural and arts-related projects for government agencies and corporations. Co-founded MoS Art with Anna Kato and also works as a producer and coordinator for exhibitions and festivals.

Selected engagements include: Agency for Cultural Affairs (Japan), research and proposals for internationally leading artists (2023); Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, pilot program for releasing underutilized art assets toward new corporate art investment (2024); Tokyo Metropolitan Government, strategy to maximize economic impact of international art festivals (2025); and exhibition projects such as Naoto Nakamura “Essays for Life” (2023, curator), Nile Koetting “Blossom -fulfilment” (2025, producer), and Yuma Kishi “Botanical Intelligens” (2026, producer).
